Editorial independence is the entire product.

What this site is

WalletsReview is a crypto wallet review site built around a single thesis: the typical "best crypto wallet" list is a paid placement, and the average person can\'t tell. The wallet that pays the highest commission gets the #1 spot. Sometimes a worse wallet literally swaps places with a better one, because the higher-paying partner complained.

We built three tools that make this visible:

  • A public Trust Score with five explicit, weighted criteria and no hidden inputs.
  • A Wallet Matchmaker that recommends a wallet based on your actual situation, not affiliate payouts.
  • A free Address Risk Check that runs entirely in your browser. We never see the address you paste.

We also publish a methodology page that documents the exact math. You can re-run the calculation in a spreadsheet in ten minutes. We want you to.

What it is not

WalletsReview is not financial advice. We do not tell you what to buy, when to buy it, or what to do with your crypto. We score wallets. You decide.

We do not run affiliate links. We do not accept paid placements. We do not accept free hardware wallets in exchange for a favorable review. We buy everything we test, and if a vendor offers us a device, we either decline or disclose it on the review page.

How we make money

Today, mostly: we don\'t. The site costs time and server bills. We plan to monetize via one channel, eventually: sponsored long-form editorial on a topic we\'ve already chosen to cover, marked clearly with a "Sponsored" tag and chosen by us, not the sponsor.

We will not:

  • Take affiliate commissions from any wallet vendor.
  • Reorder the leaderboard based on a commercial relationship.
  • Accept payment to "feature" a wallet above its real score.
  • Hide the relationship between a sponsored post and the editorial side of the site.

If we ever break one of those rules, we want you to notice and call us out. We will correct the record.

Who we are

A small team of crypto builders and security researchers who got tired of recommending wallets to friends, only to find out we\'d been sending them to a commission-sorted list. There is no "team page" with stock photos. We are two people and an editor. If you want to know who is behind a specific review, email us and we\'ll tell you.

Contact

For review corrections, methodology questions, or to tip us off about a security issue with one of the wallets we cover, email hello@walletsreview.com.

We respond within five business days. For security disclosures, mark the subject with [SECURITY] and we\'ll prioritize.
